TANZANIA AAA – OLTUROTO RURAL COOPERATIVE SOCIETY

Olturoto co-op society was initiated in the 1980’s under the government cooperative law, capacitating the farmer communities to trade and finance themselves. 1,000 members of the society are delivering and trading their parchment every year, also members receive trainings from Taylor winch (the exporter) field officers and trainers, who spend time with the farmers training on Agronomy and quality improvement, coffee processing, which have helped them maintaining a clean and consistent cup profile. So who roasts our lovely blend? Our Coffee Roasters is a small-batch, family-run artisanal coffee roaster situated in Zululand on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

WE ENSURE EVERY CUP IS IS A GREAT CUP OF COFFEE

The key for great coffee is freshness, we therefore only roast to order and don’t leave coffee laying around to lose its distinguishing flavonoids, which are developed during the roast cycle. Roasting in small batches also allows us to give each roast the attention to detail it deserves ensuring the coffee’s distinctive characteristics shine through.
